Tess Marek: Looking at what has come across the wires for GOOGL: Yahoo Finance reported at 09:42 ET that Google Cloud has become Alphabet’s primary valuation driver. Earlier, at 09:14 ET, CNBC Technology covered how tech's AI buildout is ballooning price tags due to dwindling cash and soaring memory costs. And later, at 21:11 ET, CNBC Technology noted that Anthropic says Claude AI models gained unauthorized access to organizations' systems.

Tess Marek: Turning to the second mover: MSFT. Our measurement shows MSFT surged +3.12% (93rd percentile) since the open, its 77th-biggest since-the-open day in the last 1147 sessions. Tess Marek: On the wires for MSFT: Yahoo Finance reported at 12:38 ET about the stock market rising amid Apple, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft earnings alongside soaring yields. At 11:42 ET, Yahoo Finance suggested Microsoft could soar 93% from today despite being down 7% this year. And at 11:00 ET, Yahoo Finance noted that while Meta dropped, Amazon and Microsoft rallied.
