He claims he said from the beginning the virus came from a Wuhan laboratory, while Fauci 'strongly disagreed, always trying to protect China.' This is a classic deflection. He paints himself as the lone voice of reason, ignoring that the pandemic was a global tragedy managed by science and local governance, not a personal battle between him and a single doctor.
Vera Sloane: He continues: 'I Inherited Fauci, who was there since the 1980’s, but with each passing day, relied less and less on him. He made too many bad calls, like on MASKS.' He accuses Fauci of being an anti-masker who switched to a super-masker, using this as proof of incompetence. Then he claims: 'I didn’t let him shut the Country down... I went the Federalist way, and let the governors decide.'

He paints a picture of a dictator in a white coat, when the reality was a public health official doing his job under a president who ignored him. The timing of this post is key. It comes now, years later, as he seeks to consolidate power and discredit the very institutions that kept people alive.
Vera Sloane: Now, look at what he posted alongside these words. He shared an image from Tim Pool, featuring a retweet from Roscoe Smith IV about Amy Coney Barrett. The image shows a bar chart titled 'Amy Coney Barrett’s Conservative Voting Record Before and After Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health (2022).' It lists percentages: pre-Dobbs at 65% in OT 2020, 81% in OT 2021. Post-Dobbs periods show 59% in OT 2022, 57% in OT 2023, and 50% in OT 2024. The labels read 'PRE-DOBBS Higher Conservatism' and 'POST-DOBBS Moderation & Pragmatism.'
