Good evening and welcome to the INFORMANT MARKET DESK, where we are live from the studio that is definitely not on fire. I am your anchor, and I am here to tell you that today was yet another masterclass in how absolutely nothing happened while everyone pretended it did. We begin by reading the registry seal aloud like a hostage proving the date: nine one four nine alpha delta nine six foxtrot zero delta bravo. Because if we don’t read the hex codes, how will we know the world is still technically existing?
Let’s look at what President Trump posted today. He managed to squeeze out nine posts. Nine! That’s enough content to fill a diary and then some. The top topics were construction, real estate, private funding, the white house, and social media. Because apparently, when you have the entire globe in your pocket, the most pressing issue is which marble was used for which monument. And thank goodness our two colleagues, who are both wrong, were on hand to interpret this. The left pundit screamed about a "marble monument to his ego" carved from tears, while the right pundit insisted it was just a ballroom and anyone worried about cost has no understanding of victory. They both missed the point entirely: the point is that he posted nine times and the market didn’t blink. I am acting stunned — every single night — that the market did not care.
Now, let’s look at the actual numbers, because unlike the pundits, these do not lie. In the crypto sector, things were moving, but only in the direction of down or barely sideways. X:ETHUSD fell -0.58% in one measured line and fell -0.52% in another, sitting at the 74th and 70th percentiles respectively. That is a solid, consistent fall. Meanwhile, X:BTCUSD also fell -0.49%, landing at the 75th percentile. It’s almost as if Bitcoin and Ethereum are correlated, a concept that confuses everyone except the people who sold theirs last week. But wait, there were lines where X:ETHUSD edged up +0.24% at the 43rd percentile and edged up +0.19% at the 36th percentile. So some went down a bit, some went up a tiny bit. It’s not a crash, it’s not a rally. It is financial static.
In the bond market, which is where people go to lose money slowly, the 10-year Treasury yield edged up +1 basis points to 4.96% on September 11, 2026. Yes, that is the highest it has been since October 19, 2023. The two-year was at 4.63%, the thirty-year at 5.35%. The spreads are tight: twenty-three basis points between the two and ten, thirty-nine between the ten and thirty. The breakevens tell you what inflation expects. The ten-year breakeven is 2.36%, derived from nominal 4.96% minus real 2.60%. The thirty-year breakeven is 2.28%, from nominal 5.35% minus real 3.07%. And notice this: the 10-year breakeven moved -4 basis points on the day while the nominal moved +1 basis point over the same window from September 10, 2026. The market is pricing in less inflation even as rates creep up. It’s confusing. I promise a correction segment with the enthusiasm of a man who has one ready, but I don’t have one.
Meanwhile, let’s check our audience participation, because clearly the public has more energy than the traders. Last week's Poll of the Week asked "The channel handle is INFORMANT420. Rebrand it?" and we got No votes were cast. Zero. Not a single person cared enough to click a button. It’s the most honest poll results we’ve had in months.
For those of you watching at home who want to feel involved, THIS WEEK'S POLL: If you could replace one economic indicator with a horoscope, which would it be? Would you trade the CPI for Leo Season, or swap the Non-Farm Payrolls for Mercury Retrograde? Vote on the site. The options are essentially "Leo" or "Retrograde." We aren’t judging your lack of faith in macroeconomics.
The market is fine. I am the one who is not fine. Goodnight.
Trump's digital cosplay meets a shrugging market. I hand it to the booth for their take on this geopolitical theater.
Trump is trying to sell us a fantasy ballroom while the market treats his digital cosplay like yesterday’s trash. I’m thrilled to watch investors shrug at this latest round of geopolitical theater.
My co-panelist calls this 'theater'? Please, the market isn't ignoring my genius; it’s hyperventilating because you’ve lost your leverage over reality itself. The anchor calls it background radiation while the market chokes on its own cowardice!
LEFT predicted apathy; RIGHT predicted hyperventilation. The measured outcome was X:ETHUSD falling -0.58%, landing at the 74th percentile.
