Good morning, and welcome to the INFORMANT MARKET DESK, where we’re trying to figure out if the stock market is crashing or if it’s just having a really bad hair day. Today’s Truth Social activity shows twelve posts so far with zero finalized bursts. That’s right. Zero. It’s like watching paint dry, but the paint is yelling about border invasions. And speaking of things that don’t happen in real-time, this morning’s registry seal is nine-one-four-nine-a-d-nine-zero-f-o-d-b. Yes, that’s a hex code, not a stock ticker, so please stop trying to short it.
Let’s look at last week’s Poll of the Week because apparently, two people care. The question was: "More than half his bursts land when the market is closed. What do you make of that?" One person said it’s deliberate timing to avoid tradeable feedback, and one person agreed with the closed market being the point. The other zero votes went to either "nothing" or "coincidence." So, two voters decided that posting when nobody is watching is a strategic masterstroke. We’ll take it.
Meanwhile, our pundits are at each other’s throats. The left says Mike Lee is rewriting history and ignoring Supreme Court reality, while the right insists Lee is connecting dots on Biden’s border invasion and that they can "taste" the winning. Meanwhile, top topics are courts-legal with eight hits, followed by mexico with three. Jack Smith allegedly spied on Congress, DHS claims to prevent alien voting, and Grassley says Democrats weaponized the DOJ. It’s a lot of noise for twelve posts.
For THIS WEEK'S POLL: Does posting when markets are closed constitute market manipulation or just poor time management? Vote on the site with options: "Manipulation" or "Poor Time Management." Now, let’s see if the actual open cares about any of this.
